Adam Nussbaum named AVCA/Maxpreps High School Player of the Week

This past week, Adam Nussbaum became the second Lancer to receive AVCA/Maxpreps Player of the Week Honors. He was one of two recognized in the West Region, which includes 14 states. For the week of April 1st-7th, Adam recorded 239 assists, leaving the team with an excellent 298 hitting average. His 34 digs, 4 aces, and 10 blocks were also noted, because just like in his life outside of volleyball, Adam is pretty much good at everything. We, however, are disappointed that his 11 kills were not highlighted, because like Adam said, “we love that.” Also, in case you weren’t already impressed, Adam put up these numbers while fighting a fever.

Adam certainly deserves recognition for his play, but he is also an excellent leader by example in effort and attitude. He is a great floor captain, a calming presence in tight situations, and his teammates’ biggest supporter, especially right after they serve. Congratulations Adam!
