Girls Volleyball Wins Regular Season Finale, Begins Division 2 Playoffs Wednesday Night

Parker Girls Volleyball split its two matches last week to end the regular season. On Wednesday, the Lancers lost to Coastal League leaders Santa Fe Christian in three close sets. Sophia Galdamez put down 17 kills with no errors on .436 hitting efficiency, and Berkley Hayes added 6 kills of her own. Freshman Chloe Hooker logged 29 assists and 5 aces, and fueled an 8-point run in set 1 that electrified the Senior Night crowd. The team's four seniors - Hayes, Galdamez, Gracie Winn, and Dina Wilson - were honored in pre-match ceremonies.

On Friday, with a CIF playoff berth on the line, the Lancers prevailed over Pacific Ridge 3-1. Galdamez led the way with 14 kills and 8 digs, Hayes added 9 kills and 12 digs, and Arrington Jones tallied 8 kills. Hooker netted 29 assists and 8 digs.

The Lancers will begin the 2018 CIF playoffs with a Wednesday night match at Escondido HS, with match time at 7:00pm.
